EDITORS UPDATE: Since we recently featured this Video & Melva's Story we have had significant world wide interest in this SBS/Honky Tonk story about the condition "Mulitiple Chemical Sensitivity" (MCS). We have therefore posted some information on MCS so visitors to the site can learn more about it, and help to foster a greater understanding and “breathe freely” attitude to this condition. Having the chance to dance in this video was important to me because I suffer from a seldom heard of disability called Multiple Chemical Sensitivity. I am a dance enthusiest, and it has always been my life's passion. Prior to finding a place to occassionally line dance at in 2007, I had given up all forms of dance for 15 years because exposures to perfumes and personal products other dancers wear make me very ill. So, being a part of this was like living out a dream. To me, just getting to the site and dancing in this video was the ultimate challenge. It was filmed at a location that also causes problems with my disability because of the nearby industrial area. This video is one of those things I can look back on and know that I beat the odds one more time. I've since shared it with others who have the same disability, and the enthusiasm has became contagious. The goal was to create a group page at one of the disability websites that would be dedicated to inspiring others to dance for joy. It is so important to find something that keeps you uplifted when you are disabled. As a result, others have began to post videos, try new dance steps, and one even started a Dance Off site. We are talking about people who are rarely able to leave their homes because their bodies react to the everyday environment. To hear about them actually participating in something that can put a little happiness into their day is a blessing. Line dancers are some of the most considerate people I have ever met. Choreographer Ira Weisburd, Dennis Mobley and the Shuffle Boogie Dancers in the now famous YouTube Shuffle Boogie Dance Video. The dance troupe will appear at the Hannaian.Com Treasure Coast Blues Festival.

Preston Shannon and his “Preston Shannon Beale Street Blues Revue” will be appearing at the Hannaian.com Treasure Coast Blues Festival on November 6, 2010 at the South County Regional Stadium, Port St. Lucie, Florida. Shannon has been the top attraction for years on famous Beale Street in Memphis, the birthplace of the blues. Beale street has been the center of the Blues world since the early 1900’s and millions of blues and music enthusiasts from around the world visit the area annually to hear the authentic blues music at the place where the blues was born.

Beale Street, Memphis, and the Mississippi Delta became a mecca for Blues, Rhythm and Blues, and Rock and Roll producing artists such as Elvis Presley, Al Green, Otis Redding, B.B. King, Albert King, Bobby Blue Bland, Isaac Hayes, David Porter, The Staple Singers, Steve Crocker, Booker T and the MGs, Memphis Slim, Jerry Lee Lewis, Sam and Dave, Carla Thomas, Rufus Thomas, Little Milton, W.C. Handy, Robert Johnson, Charlie Patton, John Lee Hooker, Howling Wolf, Muddy Waters and many more top artists associated with Stax, Sam Phillips Sun Records, and Willie Mitchell Studio operations.

Shannon, a five time Grammy nominated artist billed as “The King of Beale Street” is the latest great guitarist and Blues singer to emerge from Beale Street. He is set to do his European tour early in 2011, but will bring his revue and the famous sounds of Beale Street to the Florida Treasure Coast for the first time at this Blues Festival. Among his other hits he will be performing his new hit “Be With Me Tonight”, and other Memphis and Mississippi Delta blues standards at the festival. South Floridians will for the first time be able to experience the authentic sound and Blues of Beale Street right in their backyard. Shannon’s hit song “Honky Tonk” has recently created a stir on YouTube as the song for the new dance “The Shuffle Boogie Soul”.

The Festival will also feature other headliners Clarence Carter, Denise LaSalle, Latimore, and Category Five, along with several other top local Blues bands.
