The Government High School Old Scholars Website explores the various acticities of alumni and alumni associations associated with the Government High School in Nassau bahamas. The school and its prodigiously successful alumni has had a major impact on the development of the Bahamas with many of the country's leading citizens from every walk of life having attended the institution.
The information contained in this site will provide
viewers with excellent insight to one of the most revered
educational instituitions in the Caribbean its alumni
including the former prime minister, deputy prime ministers,
numerous ministers of government, leading civil servants and
professionals of every type. The High School has an unusual
history in that for many years it provided the only true
government supported avenue to superior grammar school
education for Bahmaians. This unique situation produced an
institution of prodigious educational and sporting
reputation within the Bahmaian and Caribbean communities.
The school has therefore attained significant importance in
Bahmaian and Caribbean history.
The goal of this website is to relay this history and help
to maintain the traditions of excellence represented by the
Government High School and its alumni. Also the site serves
the purpose of allowing the numerous alumni spread around
the fur corners of the world to keep up with School and
